Mr. Rudy Davenport and Mr. Bob Gray are Co-Founders and Co-Presidents of the Citizens Club of Springfield, Illinois.
From the Citizens Club’s inception, this was not going to be the usual cast of characters. By design, and through some luck, a quite strong ethnically, professionally and politically diverse group has emerged, particularly unique to the Springfield area. Far reaching civil dialogue is occurring, which was unthinkable just a short time ago. With no special agendas or special interests, the Citizens Club is positioned perfectly to act as an "honest broker" and focus on "quality of life" issues in the greater Springfield area.
The Citizens Club has held forums on such subjects as:"Race Relations in Springfield: Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow", Economic Development, and Higher Education.
These forums are free to the general public. Look forward to the next series of forums, and be a good citizens and become involved.
