Ronnie II Publishing Company, has celebrated it's 15th Anniversary in 2004. It was born out of the decision to present to the public, a written history of Black Springfield in the business, music, and art fields. The President Veronica L. Robison, writer, owner and operator developed the concept in 1989. Finding a need and meeting that need, is the philosophy of a true entrepreneur , Veronica is the sole proprietor of this business.
Ronnie II Publishing Company has published eight (8) finished works. One children’s book, and a church history book, each of these for other authors. Knowing the reality of being published by a 'Big House' on the East or West coasts, a publishing company was born to be an avenue for which the President, would have outlets for her works in the beginning, as well as for other authors. Ronnie II Publishing Company has been that driving force to self-publish.
Veronica has self " published ‘Editorials of My Mind" Inspirational messages; Short Stories "Romance", which included four separate short romance stories; "The Hardest Decision-Abortion" - An Inside Story, Related by several women, which helped the author develop a Pro-Choice stand, the journey in and out of the hospital halls, the fight for women everywhere to maintain their right to make and have a choice; "Expressions " ; "My Collection of Poems"; "Springfield Business - The African American Influence"; and "The Millennium Edition, Springfield Business - The African American Influence, Black Pages 2000".
"To Be The Recorder of Our Own History", is what will keep Ronnie II Publishing Company thriving to be in search of more information, more history, and keep updating what happens in the Springfield, Illinois community. There is the undying need to disseminate to the public, knowledge and information for those who may be too young to remember. As well as for those who later settled in Springfield, without knowledge of the past struggles and achievements of the African American, that helped to build the community in which they have chosen to live.
